Job Description
• Design products in accordance to established Essai design rules, DFx's, best known methods (BKM) and GD&T standards
• Lead new product design efforts through close partnership with project manager from applications engineering
• Pursue design methods to improve product modeling consistency, lead time efficiency & quality integrity
• Manage projects' schedules & prioritization, from initial kick-off to first article inspection
• Interact directly with customer when needed, to acquire detail design requirements to facilitate reliable completion of product model in accordance to customer's expectation
• To deeply understand the boundary conditions of current mainstream products so that the designer can confidently configure/design a product correctly towards customer's expectation
• To utilize Solidworks CAD and PDM on a daily basis to create models, drawings and BOM's. Modeling capability and speed is critical, especially in all standard Solidworks functions and features such as assemblies, configurations, mates, and general good modeling practices
• To interact with Essai's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to manage part number details, bill of material (BOM), project status update, and other functions to ensure a complete design release to downstream processes
• To perform Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) timely & concisely

Job Requirements
1. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field
2. Minimum 5 years experience as a mechanical engineer, preferably a team/project lead
3. Solid ability to create complex CAD models & drawings, and capable of performing accurate simulations using FEA, thermal analysis and some CFDs
4. Minimum 3 years experience in project management
5. Minimum 2 years experience in handling direct communication with demanding customers
6. Must be capable of understanding mechanism design, force deflection & effects, dimensioning complex geometry, measurement standards, and a general understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, refrigeration and heat transfer
7. Must possess good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
8. Must be a self-starter, independent yet a good team player
9. Must be capable of creating part model in compliance to DFx needs
10. Engineering technical writing experience will be an added advantage
11. Direct experience in thermal mechanical & electrical designs for semiconductor hardware test equipment will be a plus
12. Strong adaptability to a dynamic fast pace demanding work environment
