Job Description

Responsible for programming, set-up and operation of a JUKI CIBE selective soldering machine for quick turn prototype and small production runs, adjusting equipment settings as needed and inspecting the objects produced.

Job Responsibilities

Include the following (other responsibilities may be assigned 

  • Start-up, operate and maintain the JUKI Selective Soldering equipment
  • Minimum 6 months programming and operating selective solder
  • Perform daily, weekly and quarterly maintenance
  • Maintain consumables inventory to prevent line down (Flux, Solder Bar, etc.)
  • Familiar with Nitrogen Gas and hook up
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision 
  • Perform inspections at each key process point

Job Requirements

Minimum requirements 
  • Understanding assembly principles for single and double sided assemblies
  • Understands first article processes
  • High School education or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months as Selective Solder lead operator
  • ESD and IPC-610 training or certification
  • Exhibit skill in operating equipment and hand tools used in the area
Abilities required
  • Hands on knowledge of lead free through-hole soldering
  • Knowledge of various through-hole components and polarity
  • Proficient in IPC-610 class II workmanship 
  • Fluency speaking and comprehending English
  • Proficiency with MS Office computer systems
  • Minimum 6 months programming and operating selective solder
Physical demands
  • The employee is to regularly stand, use hands and fingers, handle or feels objects, talk, hear and see.
  • The employee must occasionally lift/move up to 30 pounds, crouch, kneel or reach with hands
  • Must work near the heated solder pot at temperatures of 315 degree
  • The environment is fast paced, time pressured and requires accuracy
  • The employee will regularly be multi-tasked between projects
  • Effectively communicate in English both orally and written
  • The environment is typical of a manufacturing production floor environment
