Job Description
The Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing an organization's computer network systems or database networks to ensure proper maintenence and security. He/She is respoinsible for maintainting the networks and systems that keep the organization running. From maintainting ironclad security to supervising network updates and training users, the administrator is not only IT support but also the thread that connects all operations. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of computer systems, hardware, and software is essential for the network administrator to excel in this role and help drive the organization forward. The Network Administrator will work with other IT staff ann company employees to identify network or computer system needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software.
Job Responsibilities

Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.

Install and configure network equipment to update to fix hardware or software issues.

Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.

Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.

Support and administer third-party applications.

Ensure network security and connectivity.

Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weakness.

Resolve problems reported by end users.

Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
Job Requirements

BSc in computer science or related filed.

3+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance

Knowledge of networking services and common networking protocols

Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.

Computer proficiency and understand various types of hardware.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Attention to detail.
