Job Responsibilities
- Increase production yields of early production releases and pilot productions in a timely manner by debugging PCBs including digital and analog components and functional blocks, identify root cause and component related failures and provide guidelines of in-house PCB repairs.
- Develop methodology to systematically test board functionality and identify component failures.
- Write test reports and communicate with switch/ PC manufacturer. Provide failure statistics and recommend corrective actions and process improvements in the manufacturing process.
- Provide solutions and training of high-level diagnostic issues to the diagnostic technicians.
- Update and generate documentation as required.
- Responsible for all aspects of the test including selection and maintenance of test equipment and test procedures.
Job Requirements
- Years of diagnostic/debug experience: at least 2 years
- Able to interpret & analyze PCBA schematics
- Able to troubleshoot multilayer PCBA
- Able to perform board level signal tracing & failure analysis (PCBA, Component level)
- Hands-on experience in using diagnostic/debug equipment & tools including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, soldering iron, desoldering tools
- Preferably with experience debugging a custom build machine
- Provide NPI support for production lines.
- With SMT & ICT experience would be an advantage
- ESD knowledgeable & IPC certification is a plus
