Job Description
The Online Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing and administering all aspects of sales and sales support functions for online orders of a newly formed division. The job is to maximize the smooth flow of the online quote through order-placement and subsequent product delivery—thus leading to maximum customer satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities
- Monitor online customer flow from the time they enter website through the sale; ensure that first responders and technical support reps are providing customer timely service.
- Interact with customer at the appropriate time through appropriate channels (email/ chat) in the workflow if needed.
- Manage the order through the workflow and ensure it is not stuck anywhere in the process.
- Conduct daily open opportunity review.
- Identify deficiencies in workflow and customer experience and feed that back that to management.
- Propose changes to systems, software and organization structure to ensure better workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Meet regularly at the end-of-week with Product management team to review sales for the week, tactical and changed strategies for the coming week.
- Work with management on any process issues to provide resolution in a timely manner. Handle escalations.
- Work with management to create SOPs and establish training processes and certifications.
- Review performance (weekly/monthly/annually).
- Provide sales reports (daily bookings, daily shipments, and win/loss) for management in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- B.S. degree
- Minimum 3+ years of strong sales / sales operations and/or customer service experience, preferably in an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry.
- Ability/ambition to hire and grow a team of sales operations people.
- Ambitious – understands that growth of product will lead to personal growth.
- Team player – understands that success in organizations depends on working together.
- Good analytical and decision making skills- able to provide feedback about what will make product and customer successful.
- Excellent written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills: Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook) and various sales software a plus.
- Ability to coordinate with different teams from marketing-to-software-to-production to resolve issues as needed to make customer successful.
- Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.
