Job Description
We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Accounting Manager to lead our accounting function in a highly dynamic and cross-functional environment. This role is not about being buried in transactional details — it's about leading a capable team, identifying and resolving issues, and being a key partner across departments to strengthen financial integrity and operational performance.
The ideal candidate has deep experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar), a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, and a proven ability to lead teams and work collaboratively with others outside the accounting function. This person is an effective communicator, a problem solver, and thrives in an environment that values transparency, ownership, and teamwork.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals responsible for general ledger, close processes, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Act as a key partner to Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT, helping resolve issues that cross departmental lines.
- Identify root causes of accounting or process variances and collaborate cross-functionally to implement improvements.
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting and close processes.
- Drive optimization of ERP-based processes and controls (Oracle, SAP, or equivalent).
- Support audits, internal reviews, and special projects with structured documentation and team coordination.
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as system upgrades, process automation, or new business launches.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role
- Experience in a large ERP environment (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is required
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills required
- Excellent communication skills — able to lead a team and influence across departments
- Highly collaborative, team-oriented leadership style — knows how to build alignment and solve problems, not just flagging them
- Experience in a manufacturing or operations-driven environment is a plus
