Job Description
- Minimum 3-5 years of electronic materials experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professionals journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Require good clerical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
- Microsoft Office skills required with emphasis in Excel, power point.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Excellent organization and communication skills required.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors.
- Evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine most desirable suppliers.
- Interface with Sales, purchasing managers, and Customers’ to ensure material process flows smoothly.
- Coordinate with customers, engineers, purchasing, operations managers and inventory manager to find alternate source for components that has long lead time or obsolete.
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures.
- Keep manager informed of present/future trends in availability and cost of materials, components and equipment.
- Implement processes with suppliers to improve on time delivery and purchase price variance.
- Expedite all past due orders on a daily basis.
- Work to clear A/P issues.
- Help inventory with kitting; if needed.
- Coordinate parts deliver to assembly for shipment.
- Help with count/ inventory of parts on assembly floor.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Other duties may assign.
