Job Description

This junior level Interconnect Applications Engineer will primarily manage high complexity interconnect projects with minimal assignment in standard/established projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all stages of Project Management activities, included RFQ (Request for Quote)/RFI (Request for Information), design information consolidation, engineering analysis (tolerance stack up analysis and test results interpretation, design validation, product documentation, DOE initiation and execution, post-shipment technical support, etc.) This requires interfacing with multiple departments (Customer Service, Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Assembly, Laboratory, Quality Assurance, etc.).
  • Lead and manage tight project schedules in very demanding work environment with minimal supervision
  • Participate in design optimization and establish/maintain design standards and templates
  • Effective communications with multiple stakeholders and internal departments (Customer Service, Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing,  Assembly, Laboratory, Quality Assurance, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical/Mechanical/Thermal Engineering; related engineering qualifications can be considered; M.S. a plus
  • Well-rounded Designer/Engineer knowledgeable and/or experienced in the semiconductor testing is a plus
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (SolidWorks, CosmosWorks, AutoCad) and GD&T standard for technical drawings is a must. Able to read 2D design prints and navigate through complex assembly models in SolidWorks
  • Good understanding of engineering theory and principles of design; strong problem solving skill.
  • Able to comprehend customer electrical/mechanical/thermal/design specifications; provides feedback to internal and external customers; ensure existing product line is based on established design processes and templates
  • Good analytical ability and able to familiarize with company products very quickly
  • Strong leadership skills and aggressive in driving project schedule and deliverables
  • Great sense of responsibility and urgency towards timely multiple work assignments completion with precision and minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable interacting with demanding customer
  • Good interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to work independently, teamwork-oriented, and most critically can adapt quickly to a very dynamic and demanding work environment
  • Passionate, responsible, efficient, and disciplined individual
  • Knowledge in semiconductor test tooling applications and design such as test contactors, fixtures, and temperature control apparatus is a plus
  • Strong problem solving skills, tackling issues proactively, and able to devise contingency plans.
  • Familiar with ATE Test handlers and/or system level test as well as knowledge in semiconductor packaging, test and manufacturing is a plus
  • Experience in semiconductor IC test contactor or interconnect designs for system level or ATE testers is a plus
