Job Responsibilities

• As a Machine Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, maximizing uptime and productivity while adhering to safety and quality standards
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on manufacturing machinery, including but not limited to lubrication, cleaning, and inspections
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance
• Conduct preventive maintenance procedures according to manufacturer guidelines and established maintenance schedules
• Repair and replace defective parts or components as needed, utilizing hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments
• Coordinate with production supervisors and operators to address equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions
• Document maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory records, to track maintenance history and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to recommend improvements to equipment design, operation, and maintenance procedures
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company safety protocols and industry regulations.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience as a machine mechanic or maintenance technician in a manufacturing setting, preferably in woodworking or related industries
• Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of industrial machinery, including CNC routers, edge banders, panel saws, and pneumatic systems
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Commitment to safety and quality standards
