Job Responsibilities
- Directly supervises all Security Officers in the performance of their duties, the direct actions of security personnel, which will preserve life and property, maintain the peace and prevent crime and vandalism.
- Schedules work assignments of Security Officers for their respective tour ensuring adequate coverage within minimum staffing levels. Is familiar with the work schedules of Security Officers under her/his direct supervision. Prepares and maintains roll call and inspects sign-in log on a daily basis to ensure accuracy. Distributes overtime assignments equitably among Security Officers.
- Reports all matters requiring disciplinary action to the Security Director immediately. Prepares disciplinary reports as appropriate and takes summary action when necessary.
- Identifies conditions to be addressed by Security Officers working under her/his supervision.
- Prepares payroll records when necessary.
- Inspects Security Officers at the beginning of the workday for proper attire, during the workday and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
- Conducts investigations of unusual occurrences reported by Security Officers and hospital staff and report findings and recommendations to Security Director.
Job Requirements
- Security Officer years of experience 7-10 years
- Leadership 3-5 years
- 3-5 years’ experience with directly supervising security officers
- Ability to schedule and manager day-to-day activities for the team
- Experience with inputting payroll data
- Hospital experience preferred
- Ability to work 10:00 pm-6:00 am
