Job Responsibilities

  • Increase production yields of early production releases and pilot productions in a timely manner by debugging PCBs including digital and analog components and functional blocks, identify root cause and component related failures and provide guidelines of in-house PCB repairs.
  • Develop methodology to systematically test board functionality and identify component failures.
  • Write test reports and communicate with switch/ PC manufacturer. Provide failure statistics and recommend corrective actions and process improvements in the manufacturing process. 
  • Provide solutions and training of high-level diagnostic issues to the diagnostic technicians.
  • Update and generate documentation as required.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the test including selection and maintenance of test equipment and test procedures. 

Job Requirements

  • Years of diagnostic/debug experience: at least 2 years
  • Able to interpret & analyze PCBA schematics
  • Able to troubleshoot multilayer PCBA
  • Able to perform board level signal tracing & failure analysis (PCBA, Component level)
  • Hands-on experience in using diagnostic/debug equipment & tools including oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, soldering iron, desoldering tools
  • Preferably with experience debugging a custom build machine
  • Provide NPI support for production lines.
  • With SMT & ICT experience would be an advantage
  • ESD knowledgeable & IPC certification is a plus
