Job Responsibilities

The Physician Assistant is involved with various diagnostic and therapeutic modalities used to care for the medically and critically ill patient presenting in the Department of Surgery. Surgical subspecialities covered include ENT, Urology, Orthopedics, see consults in the ER. The PA will write preop/postop orders, perform minor procedures, splints, Foleys, etc., clinic coverage and assisting surgeons in the OR. This job requires close interaction with surgical residents.

Job Requirements

• Current NYS Registration as Physician Assistant Required
• Bachelor's Degree Required
• Completed NYS recognized Physician Assistant Training Program Required
• Previous Hospital experience Required
• Experience in Critical Care or Emergency Medicine Preferred
