Job Description
We are looking for a talented and creative Product Engineer to join our client's team in Lakewood, NJ. As a Product Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and development of our closet systems, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of functionality, durability, and aesthetic appeal.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and marketing to develop new closet system products from concept to production
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed product designs, prototypes, and specifications
- Conduct thorough research on materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends to enhance product quality and innovation
- Perform product testing and analysis to validate design integrity and performance metrics
- Identify and implement cost-effective solutions for product improvements and enhancements
- Support manufacturing operations by providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and advancements in closet design to maintain a competitive edge in the market
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols throughout the product development lifecycle
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
- Proven experience in product engineering or similar role within the manufacturing industry, preferably in furniture or cabinetry
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
