Job Responsibilities
Compliance Assessment:
Review materials and components used in the machine shop to ensure they meet the RoHS and REACH requirements.
Documentation Management:
Maintain detailed records of compliance assessments, including material declarations, test reports, and certificates.
Supplier Engagement:
Work with suppliers to obtain necessary documentation and certifications related to RoHS and REACH compliance.
Risk Assessment:
Identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Regulatory Updates:
Stay informed about changes in the RoHS and REACH regulations and implement necessary adjustments to compliance procedures.
Collaboration:
Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure consistent compliance across the organization.
Essential skills:
Knowledge of RoHS and REACH regulations:
Understanding the specific requirements of each regulation, including the restricted substances and their thresholds.
Material Science:
Ability to assess and understand the composition of materials and components.
Supplier Management:
Experience in working with suppliers to collect and verify compliance documentation.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
Communication:
Ability to effectively communicate compliance information to internal and external stakeholders.
