POSITION SUMMARY: The SMT Feeder Setup person will set up all feeders in preparation for SMT pick and place operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • High School Diploma preferred.
  • 3-5 years experience as a SMT feeder setup person preferred.
  • Prior experience with ISO 9001/9002 or QS9000 preferred.
  • Previous knowledge of mechanical, thru-hole, surface mount, electronic component identification and performing reworks on printed circuits boards is preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret quality control specifications, IPC 610 certification, blue print drawings and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to use quality related measuring equipments.
  • Ability to follow procedures and maintain quality of products at all time.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time and document management and interpersonal skills.
  • Willing to take on new challenges within demanding deadlines utilizing results-oriented performance style.
  • Strong work ethic, eager to learn and willing to contribute to meet company’s goal.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team.
  • Must be organized, detailed oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task.
  • Ability to commute to different vendors/assembly houses as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk throughout the day.
  • Ability to perform at the highest level in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: 

  • Set up feeders from “feeder assignment” for all SMT pick and place machines.
  • Check and pull stencils for all jobs before beginning the feeder setup procedure.
  • Coordinate with QC/QA for 1st feeder check operation.
  • Read and understand all information on SI as it pertains to parts placement to be performed by pick and place machines, as well as ISO procedures and IPC specifications as they apply to printed circuit board assembly.
  • Thoroughly and accurately complete forms and documentation as necessary.
  • Professionally and effectively communicate both verbally and written with coworkers, management, vendors, source inspectors and customer representative (when needed).
  • Ability to follow and comply with company’s internal safety policies as well as external regulatory agencies. 
  • Perform house-keeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Be punctual and maintain good attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
