Job Description
Under the direction of Operations or Manufacturing Manager, the Test Engineer is responsible for providing technical assistance to the production line for all manufacturing test processes he/she is assigned to. Responsibilities include production line setup and support for both strategic and day-to-day manufacturing test activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Generate and keep current all Manufacturing Test documentation in support of assigned production lines.
- Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products.
- Evaluates, Reports, and performs failure analysis on Production failures.
- Ability to trouble shoot subassembly and system test failures to the root cause.
- Analyzes test results and provides regular progress reports.
- Identifies functional problems and suggests resolutions
- Experienced in the generation of FMEA’s.
- Significant NPI test experience.
- Experienced DFM, DFT analysis and reporting.
- Significant continuous process improvement experience.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with Medical Instrumentation Industry, as well as knowledge in US FDA 21 CFR.
- Generate and update Manufacturing Test Instructions for Production Lines.
- Evaluate and perform first level failure analysis on Production fallouts.
- Production Line setup and equipment planning for new product launch.
- Provide DFM and FMEA report for NPI projects.
- Work Improvement or Cycle Time reduction projects.
- Analyzes and plan workstation layout, workflow and conduct IE Time Study
Job Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Excellent commination skills
- Comfortable in a dynamic technical environment.
- Experience with Medical Instrumentation Industry, as well as knowledge in US FDA 21 CFR.
- Knowledge in Six Sigma / LEAN Manufacturing and Statistical tools.
