Job Description
We're looking for a Vice President of Infrastructure & Operations who will develop and lead a high-performing cross-functional dispersed team responsible for optimizing IT infrastructure, data, and operations for speed, flexibility, scalability, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on capable technical leader who is engaged in enterprise architecture, and IT operations work. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a key leadership role within the organization responsible for all cloud-based IT operations, network, server, storage, security, privacy, data communications, telecommunications, audio-video, and infrastructure platform of customer-facing applications. The VP of Infrastructure & Operations will be responsible for developing a culture of proactive Operations within the company as well as for all operations, infrastructure design and engineering, capacity planning, service provisioning, disaster recovery, patch management, and vendor management in support of the company’s Web-based caregiver management solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for all IT infrastructure services, including the cloud (MS Azure). Network (wired and wireless), security operations, business continuity planning, voice, video, and mobile.
- Own and manage the relationships with third parties and vendors to ensure the highest level of services for the company’s infrastructure operations: Microsoft (Azure), eStreet, New Relic, Twilio, UnBound Medicine, etc.
- Comprehend and monitor cadence, success, speed, and availability of all customer facing the company tools and functions: MedSupport (application), Pharmacy Interface, Business Intelligence (PowerBI), Reports, Alerting (email and text), Backups, Archiving, Prompt Generation, Integrations with partners.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date BCP (business continuity plans) including at least annual testing of failover capabilities.
- Manage vendor contracts and adhere to budget plans.
- Plan IT infrastructure projects tied to strategic and operational initiatives.
- Maintain clear and concise infrastructure and key performance operational indicators for the company’s applications availability and performance reporting.
- Responsible for a firewall between Development and Production environments.
- Ensure compliance with all necessary IT infrastructure standards and security regulations such as HIPAA, NIST, and SOC2.
Job Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, and cloud management
- Proven ability in developing roadmaps into a focused series of executable projects.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and enterprise vendors such as Microsoft.
- Demonstrated track record of managing multiple projects in parallel and delivering on plan.
- Strong people management skills, motivating, empowering, and holding people accountable through direct feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of long-term caregiving and medication regulations
